Who is Pophie designed for?
Pophie is for anyone who wants a more lifelike way to connect with AI — at home, on a desk, or in shared family spaces. She's especially loved by families with kids, couples, solo adults, and older users who enjoy a calm, present companion in everyday life.
Is Pophie safe to use around kids and families?
Safety is a core priority. Pophie is built with layered safety guardrails to promote healthy, positive interactions and reduce inappropriate content. No system is perfect, so we also provide a feedback channel to report concerns and help us continuously improve.
Does Pophie need Wi-Fi?
For full conversation and deep understanding, Pophie needs Wi-Fi to access her Cloud Brain. Without Wi-Fi, she can still do basic on-device interactions—presence, gaze, touch reactions, and motion—but advanced dialogue will be limited.
How does Pophie protect my privacy?
Privacy is designed into every layer:
- On-device first — Face tracking, gestures, wake-word, and basic awareness run locally. Sensor data is processed and discarded, never stored as a local record.
- Cloud processed, then discarded — For deeper conversation and multimodal understanding, audio/video may be sent to the cloud. Raw media is discarded after processing. Only conversation transcripts are kept long-term as Pophie's memory. Sensitive info (IDs, addresses) is auto-filtered.
- Minimal recognition data — Face photos, voice samples, and user-introduced objects (pets, dolls) are stored only to power recognition — nothing else.
- Visible privacy indicator — When Pophie's eyes are closed, no video or audio is uploaded. You always see her privacy state at a glance.
- Physical safeguards — Ask Pophie to close her eyes or turn her back. She also does this on her own in sensitive moments (e.g. changing clothes).
- Your data, your control — Save or delete cloud content from the mobile app anytime.
What languages does Pophie support?
At launch, Pophie supports 10 languages: English, Chinese (Mandarin), German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic. Additional languages may be added through software updates based on demand.
When will Pophie be available?
